music educator and founder; Mrs. Joycelyn Foster, M.Ed., assistant director;
a highly qualified board of directors; and five staff specialists in
each area of the arts are committed to providing the best education
possible for your child.

In
addition to providing young aspiring musicians an in-depth study opportunity
in the area of Jazz, the Mid-City Jazz Study Ensemble competes annually
in the Essentially Ellington Competition of Jazz at the Lincoln Center
in New York and has performed annually at the New Orleans Jazz Fest
and made several television appearance including the Channel 4 - "Our
Generation Show" hosted by Sally Ann Roberts.
